The directions in the Charming B&B book to this modern home were easy to follow. We arrived at 3pm for a two night stay and our hostess, Anne, broke off from entertaining friends to welcome us and make us tea and cake. Our room, and seperate bathroom, were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a multi layered affair with offerings to suit all tastes. On our return from dinner, at a location suggested by Anne, our hosts invited us into their private area and they were very generous with their time and conversation.

Very clean and comfortable with attentive hosts

Recently we stayed at the Moselle B & B at Lake Taupo, New Zealand (referred by the Napier Visitors’ Centre). It was a very pleasant stay. The room was spacious and tastefully furnished with a lovely outlook. Our hosts, Anne and Grahame Velvin, were very hospitable and helpful. They made us feel very much at home. The breakfasts in particular were delicious and generous, based on local produce. They offered to drive us into town in the evenings and we were able to walk or take an inexpensive taxi ride home. We have recommended this conveniently located B & B to our friends, particularly the golfers. We would stay there again if we were in the area.

What a wonderful welcome to the Lake Taupo area!
Anne and Grahame’s generous hospitality was unrivalled in our five-week New Zealand vacation.
    The breakfasts were superb.
Anne was highly attentive to our needs and desires. She made excellent recommendations and reservations at restaurants and other activities. Moselle receives 5 of 5 Stars in our opinion.

    Wonderful Taupo Experience: 5 STARS!!

Splendid view of Lake Taupo and king bed with the two nicest hosts you could wish for. Anne and Grahame were warm, helpful and welcoming but not intrusive. With their assistance we were able to make the best use of our time in Taupo. Special thanks to Grahame for his introduction to the Wairakei International Golf + Sanctuary. If you are a golfer this is one course you will definitely want to play in NZ ~ rated #1 in NZ. Taupo makes a good base for travelling to Rotorua and/or doing the Tongariro Crossing. A truly great B&B ~ Try it.

    Delightful B&B

We stayed one night upstairs in the aqua room, while our 2 year old occupied the tulip room. We thoroughly enjoyed Anne and Grahame's superb hospitality, and had a fantastic night's sleep. We were treated to a delicious breakfast with all the trimmings and service in the elegant main dining room. We look forward to staying again next time we pass through Taupo.

    Excellent - we'll be back!

Thank you so much for making our visit to Taupo such a trip highlight. The bed and breakfast was of a very high standard with a beautiful breakfast and lovely setting. I would recommend Moselle to anyone looking for a relaxed, fun and friendly stay with a couple who truly understand what hospitality really means.
We hope to be back in years to come.

My partner and I, and Mojo, our little Jack Russel, spent a weekend at Moselle recently. The hospitality we received from Anne and Graham was just lovely. When we arrived, they invited us to have a glass of wine with them which made us feel welcome. We talked about our families and other things and they treated us like long lost friends. We asked for meusli and fruit for breakfast and Anne served up four different kinds of fruit. She was also very attentive to Mojo. She put out a water bowl for him and bought him some treats. They have a lovely house but Anne didn't seem to mind, even when he jumped onto her leather lounge suite.
Graham is a character. He's in his 70s and has had four back operations. He's a tough old bat and totally charming. He showed us some titanium rods that had been taken out of his back when he fell off a ladder (for a second time) and the rods broke. The surgeon had to put new ones in.

We had an absolutely delightful weekend with them.
